Basic AR-15 Armorer

Our armorer class provides the AR-15 style rifle owner with the knowledge and skills to field strip, clean, inspect, and perform routine maintenance on their rifle.

This class will help you better understand how your rifle works, how it can sometimes break, and how to fix these issues.

This class is designed for AR-style rifle owners and law enforcement officers who want to learn how to maintain their rifles without investing in all the tools and equipment required for a more formal armorer role.

This is a 1 day Basic AR-15 Armorer class.

If you are interested in taking this course or would like more info, please contact us! We’d be happy to assist with any questions you may have.

Advanced AR-15 Armorer

This class will provide the skills necessary to perform armorer inspection for wear, as well as diagnose and mitigate more complex malfunctions of gas and piston driven AR-15 style rifles. This will include thorough measurement and gauging of wear components to evaluate dimensional tolerance as an overall annual “wellness check” of the rifle and to identify and resolve potential failures before they occur.

Course content is based on the original manufacturer specifications and firearm technical data package as well as US military manuals, and guidelines. While this is not intended as an assembler/ builder class, this course will cover many of these topics.

All tools, equipment, and training manuals will be supplied.

This class is designed for the AR-style rifle owner or law enforcement officer who wants to grow their skills with advanced training.

Participants will be able to utilize the skills acquired in this course on their own rifle. The instructor will inform participants when to bring these into the lab.

We prefer participants bring a well-used rifle from your agency to get familiar with it. Plus, a well-used rifle permits a thorough inspection, cleaning, and hopefully more opportunities to observe wear and failed components.

We can make rifles available for those needing one with prior arrangements.

The AR-15 Advanced Armorer Course is a comprehensive two-day class.

Day 1 covers firearm history and development, safety, cycle of operation, troubleshooting, components and field stripping, and preventative maintenance.

Day 2 continues with advanced troubleshooting piston and gas guns, disassembly and reassembly, and wear component measurement and gauging.
