Terms, Conditions, and Policies 

When shopping this website or store you accept the following terms, conditions, and policies.   

Warranties: 

Items on this site or at the shop are offered in an “as is” and “as available” basis.  Precious Metals Gunsmithing does not express or imply any warranty on any items sold. 

Returns: 

Only defective items can be returned and must be done within 10 days of notification.  Items must be in original packaging with all parts/pieces or will not be accepted. 

Items installed or mounted will not be accepted for return.  You may contact the manufacturer for their warranty. 

Original shipping is non-refundable.  The customer is responsible for return shipping as well. 

All items returned are subject to a 20% restocking fee. 

Firearms: 

New Firearms:  All sales on new firearms are final.  See your manufacturer’s warranty 

Used Firearms:  We inspect and function check every used firearm.  We also express any known issues with an item.  With this, all sales are final on used firearms.  If a problem is discovered after purchase and is deemed an issue not from the buyer, PMG will offer to repair the weapon.  Parts are at the expense of the buyer. 

 
Payments/Fees: 

All listed prices are cash prices.  Credit card purchases require an additional 3% fee. 

Cash transactions are listed as: cash, money order, certified check, personal check, E-check, or  ACH.  Purchases made by check and money order may be held for up to 10 days for clearance. 

All product purchases made in person, online in the state of Wisconsin, or shipped within the state of Wisconsin are subject to 5% sales tax. 

Services: 

We reserve the right to refuse any work.  

We will not remove any safety features from a firearm for any reason. 

This shop complies with all Federal Firearms Regulations. We will not perform work outside of these laws. Don’t even ask. 

A 50% deposit is required on all special-order parts. 

Deposit required on all custom firearm builds. 

All completed firearms must be picked up within 30 days. Firearms left after 30 days will be sold for the cost of repairs. 

In accordance with Federal Firearms Regulations, the person who brings a firearm in for repair must be the same person to pick it up. 

All customers requesting a lighter trigger pull than recommended by the manufacturer will be required to sign a liability waiver. 

If test firing is required, it will be performed using factory ammunition, preferable owner supplied.  

Parts affixed with epoxy or high-strength Loctite will incur an additional removal charge.  

We do not accept for service or cleaning, the following:  

  • Astra, Bryco, Cobra, Dan Wesson Revolvers, Detonics, Jennings, Hi-point, Hi-Standard, Phoenix Arms, Colt Python timing repair, RG, Safari Arms, as well as Remington Nylon series firearms, nor BLACK POWDER firearms, AIR PISTOLS/RIFLES, airsoft guns, and paintball guns.  

In certain instances, due to a warranty claim or the unavailability of spare parts, we reserve the right to ship a firearm to a manufacturer for repair, which may incur additional shipping and handling charges. 

All CLASS III firearms MUST be accompanied by a copy of the appropriate paperwork when dropped off. 

FFL Transfers: 
If you want to have a firearm transferred through us, we are happy to help. We have tried to make this process easier by taking all requests via email. 

  1. The following information is required for you to submit. You will need the name, address, phone and email from both you and the dealer that will be sending out the unit to us. Send us this information to pmgguns@yahoo.com Please put FFL Transfer Request in the subject line. 
  1. In this email please provide the specific information on the unit(s) and all other items shipped with it. 
  1. Once we receive the information and verifying the dealer FFL (Federal Firearms License) is valid we will forward our FFL to them by email. 
  1. We suggest you get a complete list of all items being sent and a tracking number that will allow you to follow up on the items. 
  1. Once it gets to our receiving area it can take up to three normal business days* to process it into the books etc. Once that is done we will call and or email you that it is ready to pick up. Please wait for the call to come and pick up your transfer. The senders tracking number will indicate when the transfer arrives at PMG, however this is not an indication of when the transfer is ready to be picked up. 
  1. If for some reason, we are not permitted to transfer the firearm to you, we will attempt to send it back to the purchaser at your expense. If we are unable to return the firearm, we will list the firearm for consignment sale.  

*Notes: The reason for up to three business days is that under ATF guidelines, we have to follow a series of procedures. Sorry but it is the world we live in. (Monday – Friday and excludes any holidays that may fall in that time) 

Additional Note: When packages come in, we make every effort to keep the original shipping box but one of the matters we are required to do is to verify model and serial numbers. All boxes will be opened for procedures to be followed. Once the unit is verified and properly checked in, we move it to a secure storage until you arrive. Make sure you bring proper government issued identification, showing your current address, and be ready to fill out federally require paperwork. 

We do not accept transfers from (CTD) Cheaper Than Dirt, Buds, CDNN, Grab a Gun, Impact Guns or from out of the Country. 

Shipping: 

When shipping a firearm is necessary, shipping will be conducted from FFL to FFL only. No Exceptions! 

When shipping it is your responsibility to: 

  • ensure the firearm is legal to own in your state. 
  • have your FFL send a copy of their license to pmgguns@yahoo.com 
  • fill out required paperwork and pay all fees associated with the transfer to your FFL 

     Shipping is not permitted to a P.O. Box 

Shipping fees are as follows and are non-negotiable: 

Handguns are a $30 flat rate for packaging and shipping 

Long guns are a $50 flat rate for packaging and shipping 

Insurance is optional.  We are not responsible for any items shipped that are not insured. 

If you require a more expedite shipping option, you are responsible for the additional fees. 

Processing of items shipped can take up to 10 days following receipt of a valid FFL and clearance of payment.
